Iris Liu is a SAG-AFTRA actor, writer and producer based in Los Angeles. Best known for her comedic talent, she can be seen on several hit shows such as It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Based On A True Story, CW's All American, ABC's The Goldbergs, AppleTV+ anthology series Little America, Fatal Attraction on Paramount+ opposite Joshua Jackson, and guest stars on Hulu's The Other Black Girl. She can be seen recurring in the final season of FOX’s 9-1-1: Lonestar and in the highly anticipated Sony Pictures buddy comedy "One of Them Days" opposite Keke Palmer ($50M worldwide box office, 94% on Rotten Tomatoes).
Iris first fell in love with acting via the stage, and has led several plays and musicals, including the AAPI hip-hop musical, KRUNK FU BATTLE BATTLE, in a role originated by Broadway’s Joan Almedilla (Miss Saigon). Commercially, Iris has worked with prolific directors including Darius Marder, Tim Heidecker, Brian Billow, STYLEWAR, David Shane, Jess Coulter, Laura Murphy, Bianca Poletti, The Director Brothers, Dave Green and more. As a spoken word poet, she has opened for critically-acclaimed poets Sarah Kay, Phil Kaye and Rupi Kaur and been crowned “Slam Champion” repeatedly at Portland Poetry Slam. As a chef and food personality, Iris hosts "Bussin' Eats," a digital grilling show available to stream on YouTube and Facebook Watch. She can also be seen doing long-form improv via TTRPG on The Dungeon Run as fan-favorite "Cordelia Wang".


Training
Iris was a member of the 2025 cohort of the highly selective NBCUniversal Launch and East West Players program designed to highlight rising AAPI talent. Past studios include Diana Castle's The Imagined Life, Mornell Studios, and Stan Kirsch Studios and extensive theater training (led 25+ stage productions).
A martial artist and dancer, Iris is a certified Instructor of Jeet Kune Do and is fluent in Spanish, Cantonese and conversational Mandarin. Iris also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with a minor in Computer Science from a top liberal arts college.
